What happened in round 7 of the NRL?

The Rabbitohs and the Bulldogs got the Easter round of to a cracking start with both teams playing very tough. The both showed their ability but it was the Bulldogs who once again won, thanks to a Trent Hodkinson field goal. This was their third 1 point win in a row and they look very strong this season. It was an epic battle with both forward packs going at each other which made it lots of fun to watch!

The Broncos continue to show that they are a team who could be dangerous as they beat Newcastle in Newcastle 32-6. The Knights couldn't match the skill and power of the Broncos with Matt Gillett putting in a fantastic performance.

The Cowboys once again were the victims of a bad referring decision against the Manly Sea Eagles as Kieran Foran scored the game winner to give Manly the win 26-21. The Cowboys must be feeling pretty stink after playing very well to keep up with Manly but late in the game Foran scored a try which looked like a clear obstruction. Oh well, that's footy.

It was another tough week for the Warriors as they lost to the St George Dragons 20-10. The Warriors continue to get better, but the Dragons were just too good. Both Jason Nightingale and Brett Morris were solid for the Dragons and Josh Dugan is playing hard to earn a NSW jersey.

The Sharks looked to get their season back on track with a good game against the Roosters but still lost 24-18. Paul Gallen was back for the Sharks which gave them some more muscle and leadership but the Roosters were too good. Both James Maloney and Mitchell Pearce controlled the game with some classy kicking while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was at his hot stepping best.

The Raiders are hard to beat in Canberra and the Melbourne Storm got a taste of their own  as the Raiders scored late in the game to win 24-22. The Storm looked like the had the game in the bag but Raiders prop Paul Vaughan thought he was Anthony Milford and scored this awesome try to win the game for the Raiders.

50,000 people watched the West Tigers beat the Parramatta Eels on Monday in what was a great showcase of the NRL. Both teams played exciting footy, with Jarryd Hayne on fire for the Eels but it was 19 year old Luke Brooks who won the game for the Tigers with a field goal. The Tigers were playing without their captain and best player Robbie Farah but showed great determination to beat their rivals.

The best team in the NRL - the Gold Coast Titans were beaten by the Penrith Panthers on Monday 14-12 thanks to a Jamie Soward penalty. It was a tough battle with both teams unable to break their opponents defence much and Aidan Sezer got the Titans back in the game with his late try and conversation. Unfortunately for them, the Panthers held on to end up winning .
