What happened in round 10 of the NRL?

The Melbourne Storm were very impressive in their win over the Rabbitohs on Friday night. Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater always step up at this time of year with State of Origin just around the corner and they were too good for the Bunnies winning 27-14.

It was a great night of footy with the Storm looking good and the Brisbane Broncos beating the Gold Coast Titans 22-8. Both games were exciting and had plenty of action including this pass from Justin Hodges to set up Dale Copley. Don't try this during your game, your coach might not be too happy!

Despite the return of Benji Marshall, the St George Dragons didn't look too good against the Parramatta Eels, with the Eels winning 36-0. The Eels were too big and strong with help from Jarryd Hayne and Chris Sandow. The Dragons, well they just don't look good enough.

Saturday night also produced some great footy with the Cronulla Sharks and the West Tigers fighting out a close match which the Tigers won 22-20. While this match was a hard fought battle, up in Townsville the North Queensland Cowboys were far too good for the Roosters, winning 42-10. The Roosters were very disappointing without Mitchell Pearce and couldn't compete with a Cowboys side who are in great form.

The battle between the Canberra Raiders and the Penrith Panthers was won by the Panthers 26-20. It was a see-saw game with both teams taking turns at getting ahead but in the end in was the Panthers with a bit too much class. The other Sunday game saw the Warriors go down the the Bulldogs 16-12 in Hamilton. The Warriors did well to stay with the Bulldogs who were too good for much of the game, but the Warriors almost did the unthinkable before Josh Morris desperately tackled Shaun Johnson in the corner to save the Dogs.
