The round kicked off with the Manly Sea Eagles smashing the Wests Tigers 40-8. Manly were far too good but it was the Tigers who got off to a great start and they looked like they had scored before the ref said winger David Nofoaluma had lost the ball. Kieran Foran was strong for Manly and they looked very impressive.
The Warriors then showed what a dangerous team they could be as they dominated the Parramatta Eels 48-0. The Eels were without Jarryd Hayne but I doubt he would have helped much as the Eels looked like they didn't want to be there. The Warriors have plenty of players who can break the line and with Shaun Johnson, Sam Tomkins and Konrad Hurrell in your side, other teams better watch out.
It was a totally different game between the Melbourne Storm and Canterbury Bulldogs with both sides showing their defensive ability, in a close game. The Bulldogs won 6-4 but both coaches would have been pleased with the effort of their teams.
Sunday saw the Raiders defeat the Titans 36-20 while the Newcastle Knights came from behind to beat the Cronulla Sharks 31-18. The highlight of Sunday's action was Anthony Milford who led the Raiders to victory with an exciting performance.
Monday night saw a great game to end the round between the Penrith Panthers and the Brisbane Broncos. The Panthers ended up winning 35-34 but it was a game that provided many exciting moments as both teams played an exciting style of football.
