What Happened In Round 19 Of the NRL?

The North Queensland Cowboys beat the Cronulla Sharks 36-18 on Friday night. The Cowboys usually struggle playing in Sydney but against the Sharks they were too good and they will need to continue to play like this to make the top 8.

The Rabbitohs also looked very good against the Eels as they won 32-12 and showed that they are still one of the best sides in the competition. The Rabbitohs haven't quite been at their best recently but with the team they have along with their strong defence, they were far too good for Parramatta.

Another side who got back to their best were the Roosters who defeated the Panthers 32-12 on Saturday. We also saw the Melbourne Storm and the Brisbane Broncos get wins over the Canberra Raiders and the Warriors. The Storm have their big 3 back in action and are looking dangerous while the Broncos and the Warriors put on a fantastic show with the Broncos getting a close win 28-22.

In Newcastle, fans and players showcased the spirit of rugby league as they celebrated Alex McKinnon. Unfortunately the Knights couldn't get the win for Alex as they were defeated by the Gold Coast Titans 22-8 while the Bulldogs were smashed by the West Tigers 46-18.

The Tigers young stars were too slick for the Bulldogs and the Bulldogs were brought back to reality. Remember the names of Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses, as they are two young players who will have great futures.

Monday night footy saw the Manly Sea Eagles defeat the Dragons 21-12 in a match that showed the Sea Eagles as genuine championship contenders. They were far too good for the Dragons with Steve Matai dangerous every time he got the ball as the Dragons couldn't stop Manly's attack.
