What Happened In Round 20 Of The NRL?

The Newcastle Knights bounced back from a disappointing result last week to upset the Roosters 16-12. The night was also celebrated as $1.4 million raised for Alex McKinnon which gave the Knights extra reason to celebrate.

The Melbourne Storm continue to show that they are a force in the NRL as they beat the Brisbane Broncos 30-8. The Storm are lucky to have Cooper Cronk back playing as he as well as Cameron Smith and Billy Slater continue to show how awesome they are.

The Cronulla Sharks and the Penrith Panthers played out a close game on Saturday and it was the Sharks who got the upset victory 18-16. The highlight of the match was Sharks prop Andrew Fifita setting up a try for fellow big man Sam Tagatese, they're pretty quick for props!

The other Saturday games saw Jarryd Hayne lead the Eels to victory over the Gold Coast Titans 24-18 while Jonathan Thurston put on a show as the Cowboys defeated the Bulldogs 20-12. The Cowboys have won two games in a row away from home and could be a dangerous team.

The Manly Sea Eagles were too good for the Warriors on Sunday with Daly Cherry-Evans again showing his ability as Manly won 22-12. The Dragons also got a win on Sunday as they defeated the Tigers 28-12 with Gareth Widdop putting on a show while Benji Marshall faced his old team mates.

Monday night gave us the Rabbitohs vs the Raiders and the Rabbitohs were far too good for the Raiders. John Sutton suffered an injury that could see him miss a few weeks but the Rabbitohs showed that they are still a very dangerous team and they'll be a team to watch out for in the rest of the season.
