The Black Caps faced England yesterday, as they try to keep their good run of form going. Many people thought that England would offer a challenge for the Black Caps, especially after the Black Caps almost stood on the banana skin and slipped up against Scotland.
However, against England we saw one of the best games played by a New Zealand cricket side as they beat England with ease.
England batted first on a pitch that looked like it was going to be good for batting.
That was until Tim Southee started to swing the ball and England simply had no answer to a great performance from Southee. Southee had 7 wickets from 9 overs, that's almost a wicket each over! His 7 wickets for 33 runs was the best bowling performance by a kiwi in a World Cup.
Thanks to that awesome bowling display, England only made 123 runs which was less than Scotland. The Black Caps only had a short run chase and they were eager to do a better job than against Scotland, they had the same attitude but this time they were able to put it in to action.
Brendon McCullum was the man for the Black Caps, he hit 77 runs off 25 balls which is crazy! McCullum hit 7 sixes and 8 fours to give the Black Caps an easy win.
It took England 33 overs to make 123 runs, while the Black Caps scored 125 off 12 overs. That's a great win.
