It was another tough weekend of NRL action which kicked off on Friday night with the Bulldogs beating the Manly Sea Eagles and the Brisbane Broncos smashing the North Queensland Cowboys.
These two games were very different as the Bulldogs and Sea Eagles battled away for 80 minutes with the Doggies winning 16-12. Both teams have tough forward packs and pride themselves on strong defence, but it was completely different in Brisbane as the Cowboys let the Broncos dominate them. The Cowboys didn't show up with the right attitude and the Broncos were good enough to make them pay, winning 44-22.
It was a massive Saturday with the Warriors beating the Parramatta Eels 29-16, the Dragons coming from behind to beat the Canberra Raiders 22-20 as well as the Melbourne Storm showing that they will once again be a dangerous team as the beat the Cronulla Sharsk 36-18.
On Sunday we saw that the South Sydney Rabbitohs are still one of the best in the NRL as they fought off the West Tigers 20-6. The Tigers were good, especially with their forwards but the Rabbitohs and the Roosters are the two best teams for a reason.
The Newcastle Knights continue their great start to the season as the beat the Gold Coast Titans 20-18. The Knights have won their first three games, but will they be able to keep this up throughout the season? I'm not sure.
Monday night saw the Roosters take on the Penrith Panthers and like the Rabbitohs, we saw that the Roosters are on a different level. They won 20-12 with a strong effort from their forwards as well as centre Blake Ferguson who has joined the NRL again after being a naughty boy. He looks to be back at his best which will be great for the Roosters.
