Liverpool Onslaught:

If you have not seen the performance or highlights of the Liverpool vs Arsenal game then you need to, even if you don't like football. The first half is a masterclass of attacking pace and movement while also a perfect demonstration of how a team can crumble under intense pressure. Liverpool were pressing Arsenal high up the pitch from the very second the ref blew the whistle and Arsenal just couldn't cope. Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere were spectators as the Reds swamped the Gunners half.  Steven Gerrard's deliveries were inch perfect, Coutinho had eyes in the back of his head and Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, and Suarez Luis were running riot. Gerrard claims its one of the best performances he's ever been apart of and even Arsene Wenger would have to agree although its not like the Frenchman's team was on top form.

Many people including me thought that Arsenal were serious contenders for the title this season but now not so much. Ozil has been out of form for nearly three months now as he obviously struggles without a winter break, Flamini is missing which is a huge loss and they have failed to sign another striker; it doesn't show great urgency to win the title. This game is a perfect example of the quality that exists in the league and that anyone can beat anyone and comfortably on their day. Its funny how one game can change a perspective as Liverpool are now deemed serious title contenders and Arsenal are expected to dip in form but realistically Arsenal could respond to this and go on a massive run. Who knows but come what may this game will be remembered for quite awhile, unfortunately for Arsenal fans.

Hero of the Week:

Hero of the week could be Sterling, Nolan, or Hazard but with the hat-trick that he got its has to be the Belgian maestro. Mourinho has labelled him the best young player in the world and after this performance its hard to disagree. He scored two fabulous goals before completing his hat-trick with a calmly taking penalty with the second goals being a jaw-dropping move involving Willian and Eto'o. It means he's on 12 goals for the season and on this form he could well be the man who wins Chelsea the league. Some are already saying he could go on to be surpass Lampard in being Chelsea's all-time top goal-scorer which seems a bit premature but the quality is there.

Nipple of the Week:

Nipple of the week has to be Ozil. Its hard to single out an Arsenal player for playing bad as none of them were up to speed against Liverpool but if its to be anyone, its the German. Three of the five goals resulted from Ozil sloppily giving the ball away with lazy passes and you can't do that against quality counter-attacking sides like Liverpool. Ozil's form has been questioned and has undoubtedly dipped in the last 2 months after such a fantastic start at Arsenal. Even Arsenal becoming frustrated with how he goes missing in games, it's beginning to sound like an Arshavin-type situation. Ozil has a lot more quality then the Russian however and his form may well be signs of the Premier League's phyiscal nature catching up to him as well as the lack of winter break which he has been accustomed after spells in Germany and Spain. Wenger will be hoping that Ozil gets his form back more then anyone during the end of season run-in as his quality can turn draws into wins. He's been playing bad but up until the game at Anfield, Arsenal have been winning games - which is a good sign. Its a matter of time before Ozil gets back into his groove, whether that will get Arsenal the title I don't know but either way Ozil, your a nipple this week.
