Domestic Daily - November 10
Ah well, this Super Smash isn't all bad. I'm warming to it let's just say that, not warming to the T20 idea as I've always been a fan of it but more so the scheduling. It's kinda cool knowing that each weekend there's a group of T20's taking place, where else could ya fit it in? Anyway let's see what went down.
Game Sitch (Situation for those who aren't very cool)
- Northern Districts got touched up up the Canterbury Kings by 8 wickets. The Kings chased down ND's 146 in the 18th over with Daniel Flynn the only shining light for the Knights while Andy Ellis picked up 4 wickets and Aiden Blizzard chipped in with 69.
- Canterbury then handled their business against Wellington with the Kings chasing down 110 with 5 wickets in hand. Speaking of 5 wickets, Ellis picked up 5. 9 wickets in a weekend, not bad huh!?
- Auckland then smashed Otago with the Aces dismissing the Volts for 84 in response to their whopping 189. Martin Guptill and Rob Nicol doing the damage there.
- Central Districts gave ND a win for the weekend as CD could only manage 141 in reply to ND's 166. Another Aussie had a nice evening, Travis Birt the only score of note - 68 for the Knights.
- Phew, take a breath. Lastly, we saw Jesse Ryder get back in some form, but he couldn't lead Otago to a win over Wellington. His 56 gave Otago 169 which the Firebirds got in the last over.

Give Him A Good Dinner
- Advance Australia fair, throw some shrimp on the barbie and lock up your Dingos ... or babies. Both Travis Birt and Aiden Blizzard both offered substance as imports for the Knights and Kings respectively. Give em a good kiwi feed.
- Mr Ellis, 2 games, 9 wickets. What more do you want?
- Also Jeetan Patel, the New Zealand public were very quick to mock him for his batting but his 34 off 14 was exactly what the doctor ordered
Observations From The Observatory
- Great to see Martin Guptill and Jesse Ryder in some form. Guptill's on a bit of a tear and any dangerous Black Caps World Cup side will need to include Guptill and Ryder at their best.
- I'm loving this Auckland side. When the games played number starts to level out, expect the Aces to be near the top. Their side is experienced and the don't really have a weakness.
