King Rossco has made a lovely start to his Royal London One-Day Cup for Middlesex and then we have Hamish Rutherford banging out centuries as well. Chuck in Jeetan Patel back at his best and the Kiwi County Tour bus is off to a rocking start for 50-over cricket. There is a bit of a counter in Matt Quinn struggling for consistency and Logan van Beek absent during this period, but having the veterans performing so well more than makes up for that.

Ross Taylor

Surrey vs Middlesex, Middlesex vs Sussex

Taylor's first game for Middlesex saw him hit 64 off 78 balls, helping them to a 37-run win over Surrey. Middlesex batted first and put up 277, before dismissing Surrey for 240 in the 48th over to seal the win. As expected Taylor slotted straight into his favoured #4 batting spot and he was unable to repeat the dose in Middlesex's 112-run loss to Sussex with Taylor bowled for 5.

Hamish Rutherford

Worcestershire vs Durham, Worcestershire vs Northamptonshire, Warwickshire vs Worcestershire.

With scores of 33, 126 and 42 in this three game stretch, Rutherford has quickly established himself among the best batsmen in the Royal London One-Day Cup. His second century of the tournament came with a strike-rate of 94.02 and this helped Worcs grab their second win of the stretch before going down to Jeetan Patel's Warwickshire in the third game.

Rutherford is currently 4th in runs with 317 runs @ 63.40avg/105.66s and that strike-rate is thanks to the scores of 33 and 42 both coming in swash-buckling fashion. The 33 came at a strike-rate of 150, then the 42 at 110.52sr and both were in second innings run-chases.

Matt Quinn

Surrey vs Essex, Somerset vs Essex

Starting with 2w @ 6.40rpo in 10ov in the loss to Surrey, Quinn then got touched up in Essex's loss to Somerset. Bowling 8ov @ 10rpo, Quinn wasn't even the least economical with two other Essex bowlers conceding over 11rpo.

Jeetan Patel

Nottinghamshire vs Warwickshire, Warwickshire vs Durham, Warwickshire vs Worcestershire.

Taking 8 wickets in these three games, Lord Jeetz led from the front for the Bears. First came a 5-for in the loss to Notts, with Patel taking 5w @ 4.50rpo in his 10ov and Patel then had a tougher outing in the loss to Durham where he didn't take a wicket and went for 7.57rpo. In Warwickshire's lone win during this period, Patel took 3w @ 3.70rpo in 10ov vs Worcestershire, with all 3 wickets being in Worcs top-six. Patel is now 5th in the bowling rankings, with 12w @ 19.25avg/4.91rpo.
