A Week In Hip Hop

It's hard to be a little bitter about the Bone Thugs N Harmony copying the Wu Tang Clan's album strategy of only releasing one copy world wide. On the surface it seems like a hip new trend, but it makes sense especially for groups who are considered greats of hip hop. In the cast on Bone Thugs, they won't make as much $$ from their E.1999/Legends album as the Wu, but they're expect to cash in over $1milly + the benefits of a world tour in which all Thuggish Ruggish members will take part in. So if you've got maybe $10milly in the bank you could fork out for both albums and some long lasting memories of the last times that Bone Thugs/Wu Tang performed live.

From some trill OG's to another crop of trill OG's, Outkast performed at Drake's OVOfest with this little number bringing out the one and only Bun B from UGK ... RIP Pimp C!

Tyga's mum jumped on Jimmy Kimmel's new segment 'Words From Your Mother' and proceeded to spit some of Tyga's lyrics to 'Rack City' ... the naughty words are beeped out but still funky nonetheless.

Last week we had Pharrell's collabo with Timberlands, now Forreal has collabo'd with Japanese restaurant 2-5 owned by his home Nigo. The result, a burger ... a scrumptious looking ass burger

While people might front and act like we're so lucky to get 'big names' touring our part of the world (mainly Kiwi promoters trying to sell tickets), I'd much rather go see the CAMP FLOW GNAW Carnival. Because New Zealand is pretty dumb and run by old people, we don't get the chance to see Odd Future too often, but this line up is pretty intense with Pharrell, Mac Miller, Rick Ross, Murs, Freddie Gibbs and Vince Staples + of course the entire OF crew. Looks pretty fun...
