Team Aotearoa has been named for the 2023 Battle of Aotearoa. Team Aotearoa features players from Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Christchurch and Greymouth.

Team Tamaki Makaurau has been named for the 2023 Battle of Aotearoa. The best Kiwi-NRL players from the Auckland region will come together to represent their community and grassroots mana.

Aotearoa has always dabbled in enjoying State of Origin. Although we all know that while Australia believes this is the highest level of rugby league available, there is more to the rugby league world than Australia and the State of Origin window doesn't do a whole lot for anyone else.
