The Lydia Ko November 2017 Mixtape will be short and sweet because I'll re-up in the next week or so with a 2017 Mixtape that'll break down where Ko is currently at. Ko only had two tournaments in November as well, with the 2017 LPGA season coming to a close.
November continued the LPGA's run through Asia with Ko playing at the Japan Classic and the CME Group Tour Championship in China. These results encapsulated Ko's 2017 and her career at the moment nicely as a tied-5th in Japan was followed by a tied-16th in China. Ko finishes 2017 having settled into a nice groove in the LPGA, something that silly kiwi media don't quite understand as they continue to hold Ko to the same standard as her breakout campaign.
Ko's groove is solid LPGA work and since missing the cut at the Canadian Women's Open in August, Ko's worst finish in eight tournaments was a tied-22nd. Four of those were top-10 finishes, and three more in the top-20 which is exactly the split Ko enjoyed in November with a top-10 finishe and a top-20 finish. In seven rounds during November, Ko also had six rounds under-par and as the other round was par, she went through November without a round over-par.
That resulted in a nice little bump in Ko's stats...
Birdies: 18th (21st in October).
Rounds Under Par: 13th (16th).
Scoring Average: 9th (11th).
Putting Average: 8th (12th).
Putts Per Greens In Regulation: 3rd (3rd).
