Listing All The Sporting Champions More Unlikely Than Leicester City

It has been the Miracle of Leicester. 12 months ago they barely survived relegation. Since then they replaced that manager with a dude who'd been fired by Greece after losing to the Faroe Islands. Their top starting eleven costs roughly 10% of the most expensive one in the Premier League and their two top goalscorers (and winners of the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year) were bought from Le Havre and Fleetwood Town for a combined £1.4m - Christian Benteke moved to Liverpool for £32.5 and has 31 fewer league goals this season. The Foxes have been in the top flight for only two seasons and will next year compete in the Champions League... eight years after being relegated from the Championship. Their manager was fired from Chelsea way back because they said he could never win a top league. He never had until now. They held an average of 42% possession in their games. The majority of their starting team were with them when they got promoted.

They opened the season at 5000/1 odds of winning the Premier League title and they went and won it anyway.

Think of a greater sporting outsider in your entire lifetime. Just one underdog that came through tougher odds than these, that defied both enormous historical and financial deficits to come out triumphant.
