Domestic Daily - November 3
The Super Smash thing started this weekend so we'll adjust our Domestic Daily report accordingly.
Game Sitch (Situation for those who aren't very cool)
- Northern Districts defeated Wellington to get us under way in the Super Smash. ND got 157, Wellington could only manage 131 in response. Besides Travis Birt getting 44, not much happened, oh Dane Hutchinson and Anton Devcich got 4 wickets a piece. Awesome.
- Otago went close to chasing down Auckland's 167, getting 165 off their 20 overs. Martin Guptill knocked 64 off 54 at the top for the Aces and was supported by CDG who did what he does best - getting 42 off 19. Good to see Aaron Redmond in the runs also with 46.
- Sunday saw ND back up against Otago, with the Knights putting 145 on the board to which the Volts could only manage 135. Not a whole lot happened.
- In another glorious advertisement for cricket, Canterbury and Central Districts wrapped up the weekend with Canterbury chasing CD's 114.
Give Him A Good Dinner
- Mitchell McGlenaghan deserves a mean feed for showing off some clutch for the Aces and considering Martin Guptill was the only batsmen to get over 50, he too deserves a nice munch.
- Obviously the two lads who picked up 4 wickets deserve a feed as well so hats off to Mr Hutchinson and Mr Devcich.
Observations From The Observatory
- I am slightly underwhelmed.
