Just Another Black Caps Poem

Remember? Yeah, back before the start of the series

Back when we couldn't understand all the theories

The mastermind and the skipper, plan to deliver

The crowning glory, opponents standing against the Black Caps shall shiver

Pause

No, really, pause because I've championed many a warning

An elongated series, like the World Cup in the West Indies

Has left us admiring but yawning

We've seen a fair amount of Jeevan Mendis

But that's just a pause, time to get back on the wagon

The Black Caps Bandwagon, sounds clean and crispy don't it?

How can we argue with the form of Grant Elliot?

Even Trent Boult has shown that he's worthy

Aotearoa, thirsty for a trophy

Do we take a gamble and play two spinners?

Who will make up the game day Stable?

Is Martin Guptill smoking them out of the middle a fable?

In the clutch, which we haven't seen much, are the Black Caps winners?

We've seen many answers recently, but at least we still have questions

When things are going good they're going swimmingly, it's pretty fuckin' refreshin'
