A Week In Hip Hop
There's only one king of hip hop right now, borderline king of music ... he's my king of music and that's Kendrick Lamar. He's been holed up, in the lab, preparing himself for this moment and as I've said before, it's hard to ignore the vibe of Lamar wanting to blaze a new path. He's got an album on the way and what ... 10 days? It's only 10 days away!?
March 23 folks.
Unless we're all dumb, the title looks like it's going to be To Pimp A Butterfly which in itself is thought provoking. Combine that which the album cover image and I think we're in store for something slightly crazy from Kendrick.
The King also stopped by Big Boy's studio in LA to drop a free. The content of Kendrick's freestyle is beyond what anyone is spitting about and it's hard to imagine his album not reflecting that. Can you tell I'm excited?
Yey, Schoolboy Q went and saw some children.
Charles Hamilton is doing the media circuit, getting some buzz back as he gets back into the game. That means that he's doing interviews with the major hip hop stations which gives us these...
