Artist: The Youts
New Single: Pull
Release Date: 14th September, 2018
From the suburbs of London, The Youts are a four piece with an inspired mix of garage punk and surf rock… The band got their name from having to break and enter into their own flat “like a bunch of Youts”, as their Jamaican neighbour put it, after the youts’ boisterous night out.
Youts’ self-released debut EP ‘Orange Eye’ got immediate support from Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing, picking up excited reviews on the local scene.
Formed in 2016 by college mates Rahul Panchal (Rhythm and vocals), George Curnick (Lead Guitar), Chris Espinet (Bass) and Cameron Ford (Drums) take their influences from Arctic Monkeys, Blur, and The Orwells
Inspired to write about their close friends and the world around them, the music is an insight into what being trapped in a suburban world is like for someone who just doesn’t belong there.
The Youts have been making name for themselves at many of London’s established venues; playing a series of frantic and energetic shows across the capital. Described by Little Indie Blog as having “head banging power and infectious guitar riffs that make you want to hear them live”
