Diary of a Warriors fan

I watch a fair bit of footy. I love rugby league just as I love the Warriors.

So when I see other NRL teams who rush off their line, show enthusiasm on defence, execute their imaginative attacking plays to perfection and show an intense desire to win, I get jealous.

J-Ro, welcome back matey

I get jealous because when I watch my Warriors, I don't see any of that.

So far this season, on two occasions the Warriors have been out enthused. Yeah the Dragons were pretty good on Satruday, but the Warriors handed them the game on a platter.

Mistake after mistake, not getting up off the D line and on attack, playing like a group of players who have never seen each other.

I don't know who to blame. Mathew Elliot isn't on the field trying to tackle blokes so the responsibility must fall on the players, but Elliot hasn't got these guys firing on all cylinders either. Hmmmm... atleast Jerome Ropati got a try.

I'd be tempted to bring Konrad Hurrell on to the bench. I'm happy to stick with Dane Nieslen and J-Ro as I've got a feeling they could be at the forefront of a severe attitude adjustment. Hurrell can come on, float around and knock people over ... there needs to be some imagination.

But yeah, there were a few positives - J-Ro getting through a game and Sam Rapira returning to old form which was good to see. I'm not gonna give up on them just yet, they just need to have a rocket put up their ass.

They can't even execute second man plays! Players dropping the ball, passes either behind the player or down by their ankles. It's tough to watch #frustrated.

Ah well, there's always next week ... against the Cowboys in Townsville? Shit.
