The Fragility of a Sporting Career
I remember that gruesome night, a bit too fondly
Tragedy. Jharal Yow Yeh's career cut short by a bastard of an injury
Why people must replay the footage again and again continues to baffle me.
A lovely bloke with a truck load of talent,
His desire to fight back was nothing short of valiant.
He now joins another talented young player, forced to retire.
It's hard not to feel a bit stink thinking of Yow Yeh and Simon Dwyer
But they have both been given an opportunity
To use their gifts and abilities, within their communities.
So big ups to them two, for keeping their heads up
Something great, wholesome and endearing is what they will conjure up.
But we can't forget the two young players who were taken from us last year,
It is with a sincere tear,
That we are reminded of
The fragility of a sporting career.
