Another talented youngster from the southside, someone who did their thing and made it

Anyone from South Auckland knows that physical specimens like you aren't rare

But to have the total package is

Everything about your career is admirable

The fact that you got to first grade was no mean feat, the odds weren't in your favour

The fact that you've been a mainstay on the Warriors wing for much of my lifetime, well damn

You have battled your on-field lows, look at you now

Anyone from any walk of life can draw inspiration from you

But you're the man, you're just Manu

You know the impact you can have on any youngsters life

Let alone those out South who don't have much else except a dream

You've not only developed as a player, but you've embraced your role within the community

You'll never know how many kids I've seen running the ball, shouting "Manuuuuu!"

You deserve a Premiership, but being named the NRL's "Favourite Son" is equally as cool

I'm a proud South Aucklander so it's easy for me to gauge how awesome you are

But for the NRL to acknowledge you, well that's another thing
