Diary Of A Warriors Fan

We've been here a few times before, late season games ... not must win games but definitely highly beneficial if you win type of games and the result is a showing that resembles tranquilized snails.

Lacklustre.

The Knights were and are on a bit of a roll, high off of the fumes of momentum, young lads with plenty to prove and a club eager to show their loyal fan base that there's plenty of life left. They dominated in all aspects which is pretty disappointing considering what's to play for for the Warriors.

Those are the type of displays that get me worried, I preach the positive but when you're team is being out-enthused, out-executed ... just out-played at this time of the season, it's sad.

Watching Knights rush off their line to put our guys under the pump, get in their face and put them on their ass is all fine and dandy, it's what footy's about ... but I want to see my team at least attempt to match it.

Limited go forward, hurt the Warriors and the lads need to simply follow Manu's lead and just charge. The Knights have a big pack, but we've got a mobile group of skillful forwards who can combine power with subtle footwork to get good metres and quick play the balls, but they don't ... or they didn't which is a bummer.

Had we kicked all our goals, we would have been much closer ... level in fact, but it would have covered up some issues. Individual talent is one thing, but it looked like everyone was on a different page in attack and our long spreads wide did nothing to resemble a threat.

Positives? A few ... Manu, Jacob Lillyman, the same old cats doing their jobs well. We came close to winning a game that we deserved to loose.

The showing is what irks me ... someone fire up! Someone back Manu up, someone put a shot on, someone hurt someone, someone show some enthusiasm for playing footy.

I hate refs.
