The Panel

 Standout Performer

Chief BiggumsGreg Inglis. He's a beast, hopefully his form continues all the way into the grand final.  He scored an highlight reel hat-trick, ran for almost 150 metres as well as setting up a couple more tries for the Bunnies demolition of the Broncos.

Mystery Doc - Who else?

Senor Spectre - Big GI. People were saying that he had been quiet post Origin and that he didn’t have much impact on the Souths side and he goes and produces one of the best individual displays of the year. Hat trick full of raw power, speed and skill.

Battler Making His Mark

Chief Biggums - Anthony Watmough. It wasn't a convincing Sea Eagles win over the weekend but they know how to grind it out. A lot of the platform was set up by this aging hard man. 167 metres, 15 hit ups and 32 tackles, a sincere forwards performance.

Mystery Doc - Jeremy Smith gave us a bit of a reminder of the type of player he can be in the Knights win over the Warriors. Was a work horse through the middle.

Senor Spectre - Adam Docker for the Panthers doesn’t get too much praise but he does the 1%ers that coaches love. He was in everything on Monday night and if the Panthers are to go far, he will have to keep on keeping on.

Biggest Think You Learnt

Chief Biggums40/20's. I think I understand the rule changes they made this year - but then again I don't. We need some clarification here before it costs a team an important game, and before Facebook fills up with bandwagon rants about 40/20's.

Mystery Doc - The Rabbitohs are gonna win the 'ship this season, wait nah the Roosters will, nah the Storm, nah the Panthers ... who knows!

Senor SpectreThe Warriors are back on the roller coaster. Coming up against a celler dweller, 2 points should have been taken. However with no Koni they just seem to lack that spark. Glad he’s back this week.

Young Gun Watch

Chief BiggumsSione Mata'utia. A young player with nothing to lose and everything to gain is proving a great prospect for the future. He starred in the Knights win over the Warriors scoring a hat-trick with his skill, strength and speed on display.

Mystery Doc - Matt Moylan is low key one of the best players in the game.

Senor Spectre - The Mata’utia brothers! They are ranging around the NRL in both the Knights and Dragons teams. Man they look like there is a hell of a lot of potential there!

Most Impressive Team Performance

Chief BiggumsRabbitohs. Glory, glory to South Sydney! Greg is still the main carry for the team - but having a strong forward pack and some other classy backs who can keep up with G.I. is turning the team into a complete premiership winning package. They have the potential to take it out - its the just the pressure they gotta deal with.

Mystery Doc - For me it was the Knights, a weird one yes but the Knights look like a team possessed at the moment. Ok the Rabbitohs were far more impressive but I thought I'd switch it up a bit.

Senor Spectre - The Rabbits over the Broncos on Thursday night. Absolutely destroyed them. Stamped a mark on the NRL that will linger in the minds of all the other teams. There is no substitute for such brawn and skill mixed in one.

Team/Player That Needs A Hug

Chief BiggumsSharks, well they copped another big hiding on the weekend and ASADA keeps saying they're about to hand out bans. Not a great time to be a Sharks fan or player.

Mystery Doc - How many more shitty press conferences can Ricky Stuart do? My hugs this week go out to the journos who'll be at his next few press conferences #safetyfirst.

Senor SpectreThe Sharks… Here comes ASADA…
