Diary Of A Warriors Fan - Them Other Warriors (Under 20's and NSWarriors)
Under 20's
The Under 20's had a good win over the Brisbane Broncos 40-14 as they ended an undefeated run for the Broncos and continue their own run of fine form. The game was back and forth, before the Junior Warriors started to make some serious progress in the second half with Brad Abbey going the length of the field to spark the Juniors into action.
This week they are up against the Melbourne Storm and thanks to their expertise, they haven't posted their team list. That's great of them isn't it?
NSWarriors
The NSWarriors last week had to fight back after a frustrating start against the North Sydney Bears to notch their third win in four games which puts them in second. The Bears managed to withstand the NSWarriors dominance and were able to score a few tries themselves to jump out to a 16-4 lead. Showing a bit of clutch which was lacking from their first grade side, the NSWarriors fought back with tries to Api Pewhairangi and Saula Solomona, before Pewhairangi hit a penalty to give the NSWarriors a 18-16 win.
This week they are up against the Wyong Roos who sit in fourth and feature a host of fringe Roosters players as well as former Junior Warrior Abraham Papalii. The Roos are coming off a loss to the Canterbury Bulldogs and the NSWarriors have once again named a very strong forward pack. Charlie Gubb will start at lock or as the third middle forward and the having Suaia Matagi and Nathaniel Peteru starting at prop should give the NSWarriors a huge advantage up front.
George Carmont is out injured so we get to see the younger centre pairing of Mathew Allwood and Dominique Peyroux get a start.
