Kiwi NRL Stocks Round 12

Stocks Up

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak - The Panthers suffered an upset loss to the Parramatta Eels but DWZ was once again very solid in the centres, where he's currently doing a job for his team. He scored a try, ran for 131 metres and broke four tackles.

Lewis Brown - He's not a celebrated player, but Brown consistently churns out solid numbers and last week he played 80 minutes on an edge for the Panthers. He ran for 146 metres, broke four tackles and offloaded six times as well as a line break.

Issac Luke - With a staggering 124 touches of the footy, Luke was everywhere and his nine tackle busts were also rather impressive. It seems like the past few weeks have been put to bed.

Frank-Paul Nuuausala - The Wrecking Ball was at his wrecking ball best against the Broncos as although he was demoted to the bench, he did manage to run for 109 metres in 39 minutes of action.

Alex Glenn - With the most metres of all four edge back rowers in the game, Glenn once again served up a busy performance. He had the most carries with 14, most metres with 121 metres and broke two tackles as well, in Glenn, Wayne trusts.

Mathew Wright + Antonio Winterstein - 203 metres between them, nine tackle busts between them and an offload each, these two are quickly becoming the best winger pairing in the league.

Jason Taumalolo - It's borderline disgusting how Taumalolo can run for 200 metres and make 12 tackle busts in 69 minutes.

Tuimoala Lolohea - Moving to centre, Lolohea was very solid running for 141 metres and breaking three tackles. It was his involvement that was the most impressing aspect though, he dropped back to get kicks and was buzzing around the park.

Joseph Tapine - Young Tapine didn't have a huge involvement but looks comfortable at NRL level.

Carlos Tuimavave - Replacing Kurt Gidley only to lose his halfback Tyrone Roberts early on, Tuimavave was impressive as he took control of the Knights.

Benji Marshall - The Dragons are arguably the most lethal attacking side in the NRL, to go along with their defence and Marshall played a huge role against the Sharks. Obviously his attacking prowess is great, but he is ripping in on defence as well.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck - Standard 200 metre, 10 tackle bust effort, one try assisting effort from Roger.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall - Whether at centre or on the wing, SKD is proving to be a huge performer for the Chooks. He scored two tries against the Storm along with 179 running metres, six tackle busts and three offloads.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves + Sam Moa - The Roosters rampaged the Storm through the middle thanks to this Kiwi pair with 369 metres between them.

Stocks Down

Sika Manu - 32 minutes off the bench for Manu in which he ran for 44 metres at 5.5 metres per carry. That's not quite the impact you want off the bench.

Manu Ma'u - It was also a disappointing night for Ma'u who couldn't serve up his trademark metres and dynamic running on the right edge. While he played all 80 minutes, he only managed nine carries and 69 metres.

Jordan Kahu - While not a horrible performance, Kahu did struggle to add impact consistently against the Raiders at centre, especially compared to what he has been dishing up recently.

Kevin Proctor - It was largely a night to forget for Proctor, he only managed 34 metres off five carries and made a poor error early on.

Jesse Bromwich - The same can be said for Bromwich who was well down on his usual form. He didn't even crack the 100 metre mark and couldn't register a trademark offload, which when the Storm have Origin players backing up, isn't going to help the team win.
