#KiwiNRL Encyclopedia: Round 10

You are Tohu Harris, the Diggity Doc's 2nd favourite NRL player.

Bulldogs vs Cowboys

The 13

Bulldogs: Greg Eastwood.

Cowboys: Antonio Winterstein, Jason Taumalolo.

Bench

Bulldogs: Sam Kasiano, Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Reimis Smith, Brad Abbey.

Cowboys: Kalyn Ponga.

Doc's Word

I'd love to hear Des Hasler's thoughts on Raymond Faitala-Mariner as he's been a regular feature on the Bulldogs bench, without actually playing a whole lot or doing anything of note.

Dragons vs Sharks

The 13

Dragons: Jason Nightingale, Taane Milne, Russell Packer.

Sharks: Sosaia Feki, Gerard Beale.

Bench

Dragons: Leeson Ah Mau, Kalifa Faifai Loa, Siliva Havili.

Sharks: Sam Tagataese.

Doc's Word

With no openings at centre, Taane Milne has been selected on the wing for the Dragons which is an interesting move. Milne will undoubtedly go alright and his work further in-field, early in sets will be fun to watch as he's a powerful runner who loves to offload and spark a funky attacking move. Milne will face off against either Sosaia Feki or Gerard Beale, either way we're going to see some kiwi on kiwi crime.

Tigers vs Rabbitohs

The 13

Tigers: Michael Chee-Kam, Matt McIlwrick, Ava Seumanufagai, Elijah Taylor.

Rabbitohs: Siosifa Talakai, Bryson Goodwin.

Bench

Tigers: Josh Aloiai, Malakai Watene-Zelezniak.

Rabbitohs: Zane Musgrove.

Doc's Word

Malakai Watene-Zelezniak was recently snapped up by Wests Tigers, with Ivan Cleary luring his former Penrith homie over. He's the last man on the Tigers' bench so don't expect him to play, but he's been signed for a reason and we should see him get a chance soon enough.

Panthers vs Warriors

The 13

Panthers: Peta Hiku, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, James Fisher-Harris.

Warriors: All but Blake Ayshford, Jacob Lillyman, Ryan Hoffman.

Bench

Panthers: Corey Harawira-Naera, Moses Leota, Sione Katoa, Te Maire Martin.

Warriors: All the boys.

Doc's Word

I'm eager to see how James Fisher-Harris and Corey Harawira-Naera are used by Penrith coach Anthony Griffin as they are fairly similar in terms of what they offer down Penrith's right edge. Fisher-Harris has been in and out of NRL footy this season via injury, so he'll be eager to nail down that spot and his return could give Penrith the touch of physicality they need.

Storm vs Titans

The 13

Storm: Kenny Bromwich.

Titans: Konrad Hurrell.

Bench

Storm: Tohu Harris.

Titans: Paterika Vaivai, Leivaha Pulu, Nathaniel Peteru, Eddy Pettybourne.

Doc's Word

The return of Tohu Harris! He'll come off the bench after playing reserve grade before the Anzac Test and Harris should come on to give Kenny Bromwich a break on Melbourne's left edge where he'll set up shop for the rest of the season. Just as Melbourne get Harris back, they've had to deal with Jesse Bromwich as well as Nelson Asofa-Solomona getting injured, must be a kiwi curse or something.

Sea Eagles vs Broncos

The 13

Sea Eagles: Martin Taupau.

Broncos: Jordan Kahu, Kodi Nikorima, Adam Blair.

Bench

Sea Eagles: Lewis Brown, Addin Fonua-Blake.

Broncos: Alex Glenn, Herman Ese'ese.

Doc's Word

Funny how things can work out right? Jordan Kahu had played on the wing all season before the Anzac Test and was picked at centre, now he's named to start at centre for Brisbane. I suspect we'll see Kahu move to wing to make way for James Roberts (named on the bench) though.

Knights vs Raiders

The 13

Knights: Danny Levi.

Raiders: Jordan Rapana, Iosia Soliola.

Bench

Knights: Haters.

Raiders: Joseph Tapine.

Doc's Word

In giving up his No.13 spot, Joseph Tapine will come off the bench and solely focus on adding some impact to the Raiders middle. I like this move as Junior Paulo and Shannon Boyd start the game and Tapine kinda got lost amongst them, so if he's coming off the bench it will be his responsibility to maintain the strong work of the starting middle forwards.

Roosters vs Eels

The 13

Roosters: Joseph Manu, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Sio Siua Taukeiaho.

Eels: Kirisome Auva'a, Josh Hoffman, Suaia Matagi, Manu Ma'u.

Bench

Roosters: Haters.

Eels: Kenny Edwards.

Doc's Word

Shaun Kenny-Dowall's pain is Joseph Manu's gain. Manu was already keeping Lattrell Mitchell out of the Roosters team but SKD's absence now paves the way for Manu to really establish himself at right centre, especially as SKD probably won't be with the Roosters next season. Also look for Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to remind everyone that he's in the mix for a Kiwis spot and with two senior players not setting the right tone, there's a sneaky avenue in for Waerea-Hargreaves to impress.

You know the drill - hit an ad if you enjoyed that.
