Deeeeeeer-raaaaaaamaa

With there being big EPL games on both the weekend and mid-week, this weeks Rhubarb consists of both rounds. In the last four or so days we've seen Man Utd bask in the glory of Rooney's goal to then being outplayed by rivals Man City at Old Trafford. We've also seen Newcastle get a lucky win against Palace to then getting crushed at home by Everton. Its been that kind of season with crazy results and these 2 rounds are no exception with Chelsea whooping Arsenal 6-0 being a perfect example. The Footy Rhubarb compresses the last two rounds into a sweet summary for you.

Team of the Week:

                                                        Speroni (Palace)

Luiz (Chelsea)               Davis (Hull City)            Shawcross (Stoke City)

Schurrle (Chelsea)       Toure (Man City)         Eriksen (Spurs)        Barkley (Everton)

                                                                Oscar (Chelsea)

                                                                Suarez (Liverpool)

Hero of the Week:

As always there is quite a few heroes to be considered this week with Toure getting a hat-trick against Fulham, Suarez getting a hat-trick against Cardiff, and Oscar putting in a terrific display against Arsenal. For me though it has to be Toure after also putting in a great performance against Man Utd and even grabbing a goal late on. The man is immense and does everything with such ease, there isn't anything he can't do. He has got to be the best player in his position in the world and is crucial to City. With him on form Man City can beat anyone and if they go on to win the title then a large part of it will be down to him. City were far too superior for Man Utd with some of United's defensive work looking laughable, especially the efforts of Ferdinand as he let Dzeko stroll past him for City's second. Fulham also may as well have not turned up on Saturday as they were crushed 5-0 where Toure showed his infinite ability with his 3rd goal.

Nipple of the Week:

Usually nipples come in a set but there is only one this week and that is referee Andre Marriner. Marriner sent off Arsenal left-back Keiran Gibbs against Chelsea for an incident he wasn't even involved in. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had used his hand to divert Hazard's effort away from goal and despite telling the referee that it was him that committed the foul and should be sent off, Marinner refused and gave Gibbs his marching orders - bizarre. Arsenal have successfully appealed the red card and the FA have stated that both Gibbs and Chamberlain will nit face bans for the incident. It's a very strange situation and the referee should have been more clued up on what was going on as well maybe consulting the other officials before making himself look a tit. This is a no doubt another massive indicator that there needs to be the use of video replays in football to stop this from happening. Although Marriner made a mistake it wouldn't have hurt to give him a second look, it needs to happen and how it hasn't happened yet is insane. Sending off reaction below!
