Game Sitch (Situation for those who aren't very cool)

  • ND vs Auckland. Auckland won by 5 wickets. The Aces notched 4 first innings 50's to give themselves a small first innings lead before the Knights set them 211 to chase. Auckland did so with Jeet Raval top scoring (90) and Carl Cachopa knocking 50.
  • Canterbury hit 242 in their first innings against Wellington with Henry Nicholls the only score of note - 53. Wellington grabbed a lead as they notched 343 with veterans Michael Papps and James Franklin getting 60's. Canterbury are 43/0 at the end of day 2.
  • Central Districts ran through a mediocre Otago batting effort on day 1 of their match with CD only mustering 207. CD are 67/0.

Give Him A Good Dinner

  • Graeme Aldridge (ND) got 5 wicket bag in a loosing side. The Aces just served up a great team effort so give them all a decent feed.
  • Andrew Ellis - 19 overs 4 for 86. The Cantab Battler.
  • Not a whole lot to celebrate for Otago, besides Michael Bracewell and Mark Craig knocking 50's.

Observations From The Observatory 

  • Jeet Raval, he's good but needs get a whole heap of runs if he wants to go to the next level.
  • Wellington could be dangerous, if they can get contributions from their whole squad as they did with the bat.
  • Doug Bracewell - 18 overs, 3 for 64. C'mon Doug.
