A Week In Hip Hop
Well it's been a while since the hip hop world basically stopped in its tracks for a single, but Kendrick Lamar's 'i' which dropped the other night. It sounds like Lamar's exploring his creativity which is awesome and is sure to ruffle a few feathers of those who want to box him in as this type of rapper or that type of rapper. It's pretty clear that Lamar's no longer a rapper, he's a man on a mission. It's a whole lot of funk...
The release of that single means that Lamar had to pop out of his cave for a minute to do some press and he kept it local dropping in to Big Boy at Power 106 in LA. Lamar just goes in on the funk served up and all you other rappers who rap the same old shit need to stop, please.
It's a shame that we have to point out those who don't follow the same formula as everyone else but hey Andre 3000's here! He joined Ellen on her silly little show and here's the result ... well it's just Andre being ice cold really.
Snoop Dogg was joined by the G-Unit on his GGN News and well, they preached. I have to admit it was kinda surprising to hear just how much knowledge and wisdom they dropped but damn, they pretty much laid the platform for any rapper out there.
Ever wanted to see a group of white golfers take credit for and do the Shmoney dance all awkwardly on tv? Well...
It's the return of the UK grime!
