The Panel

Standout Performer

Chief Biggums - James Segeyaro had a ball against the Titans. He scored a try after he broke the line by himself, set up another try, and to top it all off he made 51 tackles - 14 clear of the next tackler. Ivan Cleary has some tough decisions to make with resident hooker Kevin Kingston returning from injury this weekend.

Mystery Doctor - Given the negative energy directed towards him, I'm gonna give it to Benji Marshall this week. He's running the ball and is back to his old tricks with his passing, was quality to watch.

The Bain - Even though he only played 44 minutes, Daly Cherry-Evans was on fire. He single handedly turned the game for Manly in their top of the table clash with the Doggies. Hope he can play Origin!!!

Battler making his mark

Chief Biggums - You can't really look past Benji Marshall. He's been under the biggest microscope since his mid-year switch back to league. So it's nice to see he still has some quality football left in him, putting in a vintage Benji performance on in the Dragons 30 nil shut out of the Sharks.

Mystery Doctor - Dave Tyrell for the Bunnies had a blinder, scoring a few tries and doing his usual work through the middle. A definite battler in a pack of stars.

The Bain - My boy Shaun Fensom. I love his work. Aggressive on D, so so many tackles, and those crucial, hard runs. Was a shining light as usual for the raiders and even powered over the line for his first try since 2012.

Young Gun to watch

Chief Biggums - Dylan Walker. Watching him carve up the Warriors after the Bunnies were struck with injuries including superstar Greg Inglis was a sight to see. He does everything 100%, always involved always keeping himself busy on and off the ball. Unfortunately looks to be injured but is definite future NSW player

Mystery Doctor - Hard to go past Dylan Walker, so quick and powerful as well as nimble. A smart young footy player with all the skills.

The Bain - Three way split. Dylan Walker was a boss in many positions against the Warriors. Tyrone Peachey was on fire for the second week in a row showing why the Penny Panthers recruited him. Lastly, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. That step. So crisp. Makes anyone look like a fool.

Biggest thing you learnt

Chief Biggums - The Warriors have discovered how to defend for repeat sets and keep the intensity up when they finally get the ball. It's just a pity they haven't learnt how to do it for the full 80 yet, still a little while til finals footy though.

Mystery Doctor - I've been tough on the Dragons recently, but if they can have the majority of their team healthy and in form, they'll be a smokey for the top 8. Just need to be able to match the best teams through the middle.

The Bain - Pat Richards is a freak. Those kickoffs are insane, his goal kicking is superb, he can line dropout 60m regularly. And that drop goal was just awesome.

Best team performance

Chief Biggums - Despite not being hugely affected by the origin period the Roosters have been returning to their form that saw them win the premiership last year. They've got their forwards going forward and their backs running with good shape and ball movement.

Mystery Doctor - Penrith Panthers look crisp, lots of set plays and enough quality to make you pay for any mistakes. Kinda enjoying watching them now.

The Bain - Souths. Up against the in form and fully fit Warriors outfit, they truly showed they are on their way back to the top. Even several injuries couldn't stop them demolishing the warriors in the second half.

Team/Player that needs a hug

Chief Biggums -Even though I despise Ricky Stuart, you gotta feel for the Raiders. It's as if  no one wants to play for them, even the players already under contract and you just wonder where to from here for them?

Mystery Doctor - I know it's Origin, but big Mal needs a hug with all these injuries ... and he's just so cuddly.

The Bain - Sharks. Their team was practically second grade. So many injuries. Poor blokes. Also to QLD people. Cronk out and Slater in doubt. Now Inglis does his ankle, DCE didnt last the match, Papalii gets injured, Smith has been battling too. What a list of injuries!
