Round 20 Preview

Knights vs Roosters

Matchup - The big boppers. The Knights will be out to prove a point and the likes of Willie Mason and Kade Snowden will take the lead and look to make a statement against Sam Moa and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

Key man - Jake Friend will be crucial through the middle scooting out of dummy half. The Roosters could easily roll through the Knights on the back of Friend.

Keep an eye on - The Knights mentality. Plenty of off field stuff going on and they need to give their fans something to cheer for.

Verdict - Roosters <12. The Knights will make a game of it, but the Chooks are starting to fire up.

Broncos vs Storm

Matchup - Sam Thaiday vs Ryan Hinchcliffe. The Broncos basically have an extra prop while the Hinchcliffe is a true blue lock.

Key man - Ben Barba could go well at 6 given there'll be less pressure to create opportunities. If he can let Ben Hunt be the dominate force and chime in when needed, he could be dangerous.

Keep an eye on - Josh Hoffman at fullback and how he adds to the Broncos attack.

Verdict - Storm <12. She'll be very close but I think the Storm will play an open style which will test the Broncos.

Panthers vs Sharks

Matchup - Bryce Cartwright/Isaah Yeo vs Luke Lewis/Wade Graham. Two youngsters up against a veteran and a young gun who plays like a veteran.

Key man - James Segeyaro has been keeping Kevin Kingstone out of the squad and his dynamic work out of dummy half will give the Sharks a few headaches.

Keep an eye on - Isaah Yeo has been blooded as a centre but slips in to the back row this week.

Verdict - Panthers >12. If they can hold the Sharks out, expect the Panthers to put a few points on.

Titans vs Eels

Matchup - Daniel Mortimer vs Chris Sandow. Two little halfbacks who must get their teams in good field position and build some pressure.

Key man - Dave Taylor and James Roberts. I don't think there's a more exciting centre pairing than these two and with the Titans lacking some fire power both these guys need as much early ball as possible.

Keep an eye on - The Eels seem to switch their edge back rowers around so expect to see Tepai Moera line up on the right, then the left at some stage. Could possibly see some decent collisions between Moera and Taylor #ouch.

Verdict - Eels <12. The Eels must be defensively on point out wide and I reckon they've got enough to make the most of their chances.

Cowboys vs Bulldogs

Matchup - Once again it's the big boppers. Plenty of size and pizzazz here with the likes of Sam Kasiano, James Graham, Ashton Sims and James Tamou.

Key man - Rory Kostjasyn will hold things together at dummy half for the opening stanza, then expect to see Ray Thompson come on and provide some excitement and make the most of some tiring big men.

Keep an eye on - How the Cowboys back up from their win against the Sharks. Another win in Sydney against the Dogs could send shivers through the league.

Verdict - Cowboys <12. Things looked settle with the Cows and they'll be confident.

Warriors vs Sea Eagles

Matchup - Sam Tomkins vs Brett Stewart. Nuff said.

Key men - Anyone defending on an edge for the Warriors. Manly will throw the kitchen sink at the likes of Ben Henry, Konrad Hurrell etc so it'll be all hands on deck.

Keep an eye on - The battle of the forwards. Who will get the upper hand?

Verdict - Warriors <12. A much more solid line up and a big occasion to step up on home turf.

Tigers vs Dragons

Matchup - Mitchell Moses vs Adam Quinlan. Two young fullbacks, one with plenty of raps the other is battling away.

Key man - Aaron Woods will be difficult to handle and both his metres and offloads will give the Dragons problems.

Keep an eye on - The week to week development of the young Tigers - Moses, Austin and Brooks.

Verdict - Tigers <12. Too many weapons.

Raiders vs Rabbitohs

Matchup - Anthony Milford vs the Rabbitohs.

Key man - Besides Milford? Maybe Sam Burgess who will take it upon himself to ensure that the Raiders' forwards have very little impac.t

Keep an eye on - Are the Rabbitohs warming up for the end of the season? The Raiders will provide a solid test but all eyes will be on the Bunnies.

Verdict - Rabbitohs >12.
