The Panel

Standout Performer

Chief Biggums - Cooper Cronk. Runs the show like a boss. Called the shots all night in the convincing victory over the Tigers. True professional, set up four tries and controlled the game but let his other half get in on the action too.

Mystery Doc - Michael Jennings, he showed his class by slotting straight back in the the Roosters side and put on a decent display.

The Bain - He is a freak. Jarryd Hayne. No more needs to be said

Battler making his mark

Chief Biggums - Manu Vatuvei. The Beast put in a vintage performance against the Raiders. Even though it was the Raiders, he could of easily slacked so hat-trick, two line breaks and over 150 metres gained was a good effort for the old boy.

Mystery Doc - Ashton Sims seems to get on everyone's nerves and the lad is becoming a important part of this big Cowboys forward pack.

The Bain - Jamie Buhrer. Was a solid performer and is doing well in the absence of Glenn Stewart.

Young Gun Watch

Chief Biggums - Alex Johnston and Dylan Walker. The Bunnies outside backs are young, strong and ridiculously fast. Didn't expect Johnston to boost it that fast for his hat tricks definitely has a young G.I build. We already knew Walker was fast but his decision making with the ball in hand is getting up there.

Mystery Doc - Besides Alex Johnston, gotta give Tui Lolohea a shout out. He looks like he's bulked up a bit and hopefully we get to see a bit more of him this week.

The Bain - Dylan Walker is a superstar in the making. Has all the attributes and can play anywhere in the back line!

Biggest Thing You Learnt

Chief Biggums - The year of coach trouble continues. Sure they're the first person being blamed but I'm sure there's a lot of other factors going on behind the scenes contributing to bad club performances. Shooting the head coach seems to be the easiest way to say you're doing something about it though.

Mystery Doc - I learned that one must wonder how and why some clubs get themselves in to such shit situations/positions.

The Bain - Raiders are mud. Also, Manly, Bunnies and Storm are looking sharp so watch out!

Best Team Performance

Chief Biggums - Storm. There were a lot of one sided performances over the weekend but I'd give it to the Storm with their clinical display against the Tigers. Defended well saving four tries but more importantly converted their time with the ball into points most of the time.

Mystery Doc - The Cowboys looked very slick, in fact the bottom 3 of the top 8 (Cowboys, Storm, Warriors) all looked pretty slick.

The Bain - Joint winners for mine. Souths were impressive but also Penrith. They had several injuries but still had enough ticker to come out on top.

Needs A Hug

Chief Biggums - The Raiders. Still not a Ricky Stuart fan, but you gotta feel for the new club he just happens to be at while they're struggling. Even more injuries to the depleted Green Machine is just getting a bit sadder every week.

Mystery Doc - John Cartwright, you're time has come.

The Bain - Raiders. Wow were they awful. Hit with a few injuries just to make it worse too.
