A Week In Hip Hop

If you're reading this for the first time, welcome. Enjoy our selection of hip-hopness from around the world. We kick off with Mac Miller or his beat making alias Larry Fisherman playing 'Rhythm Roulette' which is a cool concept from the folk at Mass Appeal. If you're bored, I suggest you watch a few more of these with other producers for a pretty interesting wee insight in how awesome sampling and cooking up a beat can be.

Chur to N.W.A who have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. It doesn't mean they're guaranteed entry, but they're nominated so chur chur chur. They join the likes of Greenday, Nine Inch Nails and the Smiths to be nominated. R.I.P Eazy E.

Jadakiss dropped by ESPN to do a segment on the 'Highly Questionable' show which I highly enjoyed. The main focus is on which NY Knicks player Biggie was referring to on the song 'I've got a story to tell' and Jada drops some OG knowledge as well.

Highly Questionable with Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones airs weekdays at 4:00 PM ET on ESPN2. Twitter: @HQonESPN Facebook: Facebook.com/HighlyQuestionable Email: Lebatardfamily@Gmail.com

Hmm apparently the new A$AP project got thrown out, but I won't believe it until I don't see if for yonks. They'll be cooking something up, but news of A$AP Ferg's 2nd album gets me a wee bit excited. 'Trap Lord' was pretty simple, but as told to XXL Ferg's next project sounds like it's going to be a funky mix of Ferg's creative juices. We're kinda waiting on A$AP, no doubt there's some sneaky marketing happening here but we're waiting for more Rocky and we're waiting on the whole crew to come out in force. It's all love.

Wow. Sometimes you just watch a video on Youtube and you're like damn, I didn't want that to end. I want to hear DJ Quik talk for hours, this guy is the man. With Sway he goes in on pretty much everything - Deathrow Records, Suge, being a Blood, the streets as well as dropping some absolute knowledge that sums up my personal mindset

The people don't need a record industry as much as they need the music

As is always the case, Quik's on the media tour promoting his upcoming album 'Midnight Life' which I'm eagerly looking forward to listening to and writing about. For really though, watch the whole video, you get Quik answering questions, you get some knowledge he wrote down the night before and you get him performing! What more do you want!?

With his 9th studio album "The Midnight Life" set to drop on October 14, the legendary DJ Quik joins the Sway In The Morning Crew to discuss the evolution of music, West Coast artist and even kicks a verse off.

Casey Veggies is out here doing his thing...

JAY Z's Life+Times and vitaminwater® present the next episode of the new documentary series "Where I'm From." This episode follows Inglewood, CA rapper Casey Veggies, and details how supportive his father was in encouraging him not to quit sports and music.
