NRL Round 14 Preview
Wests Tigers vs Rabbitohs
Match Up - Luke Brooks vs Luke Keary. Two young halves who have bright futures but haven't quite been as consistent as they'd like, Brooks especially.
Key Man - Dylan Walker showed us what he can do when he's near perfect health last week and if the Rabbitohs can get him early ball he should be a threat on both sides of the field.
Keep An Eye On - Manaia Cherrington was good last week for the Tigers and we also get to see John Olive debut on the wing for the Rabbiths
Verdict - Tigers <12. It's a toss up but I'm sliding the way of the Tigers in an upset.
Warriors vs Roosters
Match Up - Ben Matulino vs Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. Two of the best props in the game, who are hugely influential to their team's performance.
Key Man - Jackson Hastings has been coming off the bench for the Roosters, filling in at hooker but with Mitchell Pearce out on Origin duty, Hastings gets the 7 jersey. While it's a nice chance for him to shine, simple footy will be the order of the day.
Keep An Eye On - Raymond Faitala-Mariner vs Siosiua Taukeiaho. Two old boys of the Junior Warriors who get a starting spot out on the edge in the same game, hopefully they line up against each other. RFM will have his hands full because Taukeiaho has been one of the best for the Roosters all season.
Verdict - Warriors <12. It's just one of those games that they win.
Titans vs Bulldogs
Match Up - James Roberts vs Tim Lafai. Two young centres who have slightly different styles but they are both big, have great footwork and are super strong.
Key Man - Michael Lichaa played his best game of the season for the Dogs last week and his crisp work out of dummy half gets the Doggies backline moves off to a great start.
Keep An Eye On - Lloyd Perrett gets a start at lock in a fearsome forward pack, this will be fun to watch.
Verdict - Bulldogs >12. Up the guts.
Storm vs Eels
Match Up - Blake Green vs Corey Norman. Two blokes who have been playing good footy all season but are overshadowed by other players and issues.
Key Man - Another youngster getting a start at halfback, Ben Hampton comes into a great environment with the Storm high on confidence. Green's solid play will allow Hampton a bit more freedom.
Keep An Eye On - This is a look at the Storm minus the big three, call it Storm 2.0 and I like it. Also, Young Tonumaipea is on the bench, will he come on for a forward or a back? Maybe Tohu Harris?
Verdict - Storm <12. Storm 2.0 to get Melbourne excited.
