The Wildcard’s Guide to the NFL - Week 16
First off I have an apology to make. I didn’t meet my deadline last week for this column. It wasn’t my fault, I swear, you just gotta believe me! I TRIED SO HARD!

Two games to go. Two more chances. It’s what players play for, coaches coach for and fans, um, fan (?) for… the chance to compete for a championship.
For a few short hours on Sunday the Breakers slipped from first place. Then they beat Melbourne in Melbourne and hahahahaha!
The Grizzles seem to be the team that is quietly doing extremely well, not many people seem to talk about them but they sit a close 2nd in the West to the exciting Warriors.
That’s more like it. Still not a clinical night of shooting but easily better than last week’s travesty.
Basketball’s a tricky game. Sure, most nights you get away with it. You throw up some airballs, you don’t bother rebounding, maybe throw the odd pass into the crowd. But every now and then you have one of those awful nights, when it all goes wrong.
The win streak is over for the Breakers, after they went down in Sydney.
More of the same for this weeks MVP rankings, with Pelicans big man Anthony Davis still holding the top spot for me.
Four weeks to go. Four more games for each team, four more chances to prove themselves. To extend their season and achieve what they set out to achieve. To make it to the offseason and still be able to sleep at night without nightmares of the missed opportunities.
Recently, we've witnessed our sporting leaders do what they do best and lead admirably through adversity. We've also been given a fantastic example of how not to lead by the head hauncho of the NFL, Roger Goodell.
The storyline coming into this game was NBA veteran Josh Childress coming to town but it was King Cedric who reigned at Vector.
MVP watch this week features some defensive studs and a couple of offensive aces.
Happy Thanksgiving, people! Here are some things that I’m thankful for:
The Sacramento Kings, spreading cheer and goodwill to the NBA. And Boogie. Lots of Boogie.
Money, Money, MONEY! You know who has lots of money? This guy.
Four in a row, yo.
There’s only one way to decide this...
My MVP watch has been changing by the game as guys feel their way into the season.
Well… it wasn’t always pretty.
Win or go home.
