NRL Finals week 1 was a banger
NRL Finals week 1 was a banger
There's a constant battle in the NRL, between big stadiums and the suburban homes of many NRL clubs.
Let me start by saying that this is purely a team of my favourite players this season. This isn't a team of who's the best blah blah blah, just my favs.
Matchup - Kieran Foran vs John Sutton.
Well, once again we had do deal with a fizzle. Instead of finishing the season off with a roaring fire, the Warriors sizzled.
The NSW Cup playoffs started a week earlier than the NRL and NYC and saw the Warriors eliminate Mounties 36-28 at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.
A season of ups and downs, what's new?
Well, that's it. She's all over. 2014 done and dusted, see ya later and probably best to not show your bum around here again.
The Warriors have a bit of a history of pulling of the incredible, the borderline impossible and the slightly ridiculous when it comes to crunch time.
Matchup - Mitchell Aubusson and Heath L'Estrange vs Isaac Luke.
The NSW Cup Warriors came off an impressive 48 - 12 win over the North Sydney Bears on Sunday to sneak into eighth place and secure a finals berth in their maiden year.
It makes me wonder, how one could be so gifted
Ah, Mark Tookey aye. Big ups to Mark Tookey.
It seems that the latest trend in the NRL is to say something along the lines of - well that wouldn't have happened if blokes could punch each other, a cheeky little halfback would think twice about getting under the skin of prop.
Matchup - Corey Thompson vs Alex Johnston.
Semi Radradra on the break, looking like he's on a treadmill
Gliding, while blokes try to give chase, wait, is he running up a hill?
I like Matty Johns, some people don't but I thoroughly enjoy his opinions and thoughts on the NRL. Unfortunately for any Warriors fan, his thoughts usually involve something negative about the Warriors.
I feel extremely lucky, as you should as well that we have two sports that are pretty awesome which we follow with similar enthusiasm.
It appears to be over, although WADA might step in and add their 2 cents to the mix, but it feels like we've reached the end. It was a few years ago now when a few people in suits thought they'd be dramatic and label this whole shambles 'the darkest day in Australian sport'.
Matchup - James Graham vs Aaron Woods. Two props who are pretty good at pissing you off, but they have skill in abundance as well.
